Applications are now available on www.abwanewyork.org, for the 2017 Ruth Whitehead Whaley Scholarships. The Association of Black Women Attorneys (ABWA) awards these scholarships to law students who demonstrate financial need, exhibit an interest in the public sector or civil rights law, and actively participate in community service. Students must be enrolled at an accredited law school in CT, NJ and NY.  Applications must be received by February 1, 2017.  Recipients of awards will be notified by March 21, 2017 and will be expected to attend ABWA’s 41th Anniversary Gala at the Rainbow Room on April 21 2017, to receive their award.
