no more

In one year alone 12.7 million men and women in the U.S. are physically abused, raped or stalked by their partners.  That is approximately the number of people in New York City and Los Angeles combined.  That is 24 people every minute.  These are people we know.

It is time to end the silence and shame for good.
NO MORE Week of Action is a national grassroots activation aimed at making domestic violence and sexual assault awareness and prevention a priority year round.  Check out NO MORE online at and also on Facebook and Twitter.  There are many ways you can help spread the word.

Join the voices in our Albany Law School community.  Stop by the NO MORE table in the Library Foyer (Monday-Wednesday 11:00 am to 1:00 pm), and tell us what you say NO MORE to.  We’ll take a photo of you with your statement and add it to Albany Law School’s NO MORE webpage.  Your message will also be added to the Statement Wall in the West Foyer.

While you visit the NO MORE table, make a donation to our toiletries drive to benefit the victims of domestic violence receiving assistance from Equinox, Inc.  We are collecting men’s and women’s items including: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors, shaving cream and deodorant.

Check for announcements and information throughout the week on MyAlbanyLaw and on the building TV monitors.

Finally, wear blue on Friday to show your support.  Together we can end domestic violence and sexual assault!
