Serving Veterans: Albany Law School will host its next Veterans’ Law Day on Saturday, November 14, 2015. Location: Albany Law School, 80 New Scotland Ave., Albany, NY 12208,
Time: 1000 – 1600 (10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.)
Keynote speaker: U.S. Congressman Chris Gibson.
Over the course of his 24 year Army career, Rep. Gibson rose to the rank of Colonel and deployed seven times. In Congress, he serves on the House Armed Services, Agriculture, and Small Business Committees.
Albany Law School’s Veterans’ Rights Project has served more than 200 veterans in the past three years with a variety of free legal services and volunteer attorneys.
Free services provided include:

- Small business
- Peer mentoring
- Education consulting
- Debt/financial counseling
- Therapeutic animal services

The Veterans’ Rights Project is always looking for volunteer attorneys and businesses to participate in the event by donating their services and providing sponsorship opportunities. The group currently works with more than 20 firms in organizing free legal care to veterans from a variety of military conflicts and has actively worked with the larger Capital Region community for years.
