Thursday, August 13, 2015 – NYSBA Annual Minority Law Student Conference Day
It is that time of year again when we start preparing for our Annual Minority Law Student Conference Day which aims to prepare rising 2L & 3L students for the Fall and upcoming interviews for summer 2016 associate jobs and after-graduation jobs. The Minority Law Student Conference Day will be held on August 13, 2015 at New York Law School between 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and is open (FREE) to all law students. In order to make this event successful and ensure that our students receive the development that they need, we are requesting that each of you provide 2-3 attorney volunteers.
At this time we are looking for speakers, attorneys to review and edit resumes and conduct mock interviews. As in the past the program will include panels discussing:
- Drafting cover letters and thank you letters
- Preparing your resume
- Use of Social Media
- What to Wear and Not to War
- Networking Lunch
- Mock Interviews
Interested Attorney and Recent Law graduate volunteers should contact Ms. Rosevelie Márquez Morales at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please indicate how you would like to assist.
Also, attached is a promotional flyer for the program, containing a link to register online. There is no charge for this event. Law students and recent graduates are welcome to attend.
