Join us in congratulating Paul and Adam for this well-deserved honor. And many thanks to Albany Law School‘s faculty, staff, students, and partners who contributed so generously to this herculean effort.

The National LGBT Bar Association has awarded its 2015 Student Leadership Award to Paul Sautter-Walker, ’15 and Adam Grogan, ’16.  Paul and Adam were recognized for their ground-breaking work on the nation’s first LGBT Law Day, held in March, 2015.

Paul and Adam demonstrated great leadership in enrolling dozens of community partners and sponsors in the project, including members of the corporate, legal, health, and financial services communities.  Other community partners included:

  • 350 attendees
  • 35 service organizations providing resource tables, with 125 staffers
  • 18 presenters & speakers
  • 14 volunteer attorneys
  • 65 ALS students, and representatives of four other law schools

The students will receive their awards at the LGBT Bar Association’s annual meeting in Chicago next month.
