In conjunction with the Albany Law School Government Law Center, the Young Lawyers Section is excited to be co-sponsoring “Alternative Careers with a JD,” on April 2, 2014 at 6:00 PM in Room 200 (Building 1928), with a reception to follow in the West Foyer.
This event will feature:
Jeong Oh, Senior Attorney with New York State Office of Information Technology Services and independent contractor for Albany Medical College (AMC).  Mr. Oh is a registered patent attorney and has his Masters in Business Administration.
Koethi Zan, a crime novelist.  Her first novel, The Never List, became an international best seller and is being developed as a TV series with CBS. Ms. Zan holds a J.D. from Yale Law School and formerly has held the positions of Deputy Counsel and SVP for MTV.
Robert Miller, CEO of the Windsor Group, where he focuses on managing residential and commercial real estate in both New York and Florida. He is also a member of the Albany Law School Board of Trustees and a graduate of Albany Law School ’68. Mr. Miller holds an LLM in Taxation and is a Certified Public Accountant.
The discussion will be moderated by Professor Ray Brescia, Associate Professor of Law and Director of the Government Law Center at Albany Law School.  These speakers will share their wealth of knowledge and their experiences in pursuing their career paths.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about the wide range of career paths you can pursue with your law degree.
