The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) International Section and Albany Law School recently announced the Summer 2014 Law Student International Internship Program, which has secured internships for U.S. law students in law firms in Prague, Vienna, Krakow, Mexico City and Guatemala City.

The internships, which are available for second- and third-year students, last from four to eight weeks. The participating law firms will provide the student intern with mentoring and introductory-level work experience.
In past years, Albany Law student interns have fulfilled work assignments in various business, commercial and financial matters. They have participated in client meetings, prepared and reviewed legal documents, conducted research and assisted with English-language legal and marketing materials.
Interested students are encouraged to contact Professor Halewood. Students should provide a detailed letter of interest, unofficial law school transcript, curriculum vitae and the name of a law school professor who has agreed to be a reference.
Letters of interest should include foreign language fluency or proficiency, as well as pre-law school and extracurricular activities demonstrating interest in international law and business affairs.
