We are pleased to announce that LSAC is now accepting applications for it’s 2014 LSAC Diversity Initiatives Summer Internship. This is a great opportunity for a current 1L & 2L law students to gain exposure to legal education and LSAC Diversity Initiatives. The intern will be expected to work a 37.5-hour week and the compensation will be $22.00 per hour.
This position will be based at LSAC headquarters in Newtown, PA (approximately 40 miles from Philadelphia International Airport). The duration of the position is between 10 and 12 weeks during the Summer of 2014. Housing will be provided. After a group of finalists is selected, video interviews will be conducted, and a final decision is anticipated by late April.
Qualifications: The summer internship is restricted to currently enrolled law students in good academic standing. Preference will be given to candidates with strong communication skills including familiarity with social media. We are seeking applicants who share LSAC’s commitment to promoting diversity in the legal profession.
How to apply: Applicants are required to submit a letter of interest, a resume, and the names, addresses, and contact information for two references. The letter of interest must explain why diversity, especially racial and ethnic diversity, is important to the legal profession, and must not exceed two pages in length.
