Created during the Fall of 2000, the Albany County Bar Association’s Diversity
Internship Program seeks to increase private sector work experience for students of color, specifically to work in law firms in the Capital District during their second- and third-year of law school.  A $1,800 stipend is provided by each participating firm each semester for this 10-week diversity internship program (firms hire law interns during the Fall and Spring semesters only).  Below is a photo gallery from the end of the 2010-2011 academic year reception to celebrate the accomplishment of our students.  The reception was sponsored by all participating law firms.  It took place at the restaurant located at 677 Prime, in downtown Albany and held on April 12, 2011 from 5:30-7:30p.m.  Members of the local and NYS judiciary and attorneys and alumni from the participating law firms joined Albany Law School’s Director of Diversity Affairs Office, Pershia Wilkins and the fall and spring interns at this great event.
