The New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators, Inc. 39th Annual Conference was held on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany. Albany Law School sponsored and staffed an information booth at the event from 9am – 4pm in the exhibition hall. A special Thank you to Phillip McKie, ’10 and Destini Bowman, ’10 for assisting the Director of the Diversity Office with meeting and speaking with over sixty attendees who stopped by to visit with us. Prospective students and their parents were excited to learn about the great opportunities available at Albany Law School. Our Dean & President Thomas Guernsey and Professor Kathe Klare, alumni and law students joined in the many networking receptions and enjoyed the festivites planned by the organizers of this Conference. See Photo gallery of our Information Booth and the event’s official program is linked below.
During our tabling, we received visits from alumni who attended and presented during the weekend festivities. It was nice meeting David Paterson, Governor of the State of New York as he made the rounds in the concourse area.
