Summer 2012 Jobs: LCC Minority Outreach Program

Click HERE for  a listing of law firms and union legal departments participating in the LCC Minority Outreach Program.

The program is designed to introduce minority law students to the practice of labor law and to the labor community by providing summer 2012 clerkship opportunities with the participating firms and union legal departments.  The following link to the AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee website provides further information on pursuing a career in public interest labor law:  http://unionlawyers.aflcio.org/. The site also contains an electronic version of the enclosed listing of employers and a printable brochure on the Minority Outreach Program.

1L and 2L students with a demonstrated interest in labor law, as well as those students who may be interested in the field, are encouraged to participate in the program. Students should contact the firms or legal departments directly with inquiries or applications, and are advised to reference the “LCC Minority Outreach Program” in all correspondence.

Interested students should check the website continuously as new employers are routinely added.  Direct all questions to:  Lorie Harris at 202-637-5385 or lharris@aflcio.org.
